Songbirds and Garden Birds of North Carolina.
Photography by Fred Hurteau

All of these photos were taken in central or eastern North Carolina. The majority of songbird photos were photographed right from my window at home. Some of the best images can be found in the Photo Gallery, and many are available as high resolution stock photography.

Most of these birds are common to North Carolina, though some are only occasionally seen. Information about these birds should be obtained from field guides and other authoritative sources, available at any book store. I have added observations of my own which you might find interesting or helpful. These images are provided as a supplement to such information. All images are copyrighted. Specifics can be found in the Copyright Notice and Usage Policy.
